You can use the Enter key to go to the next box. If you are unsure what you can enter in a box, use the 3 dots at the end of the box to display a list of available options.
When all information is completed, there will be a green tick on the completed line, indicating that the data has been saved.
The program will then ask for the calf details to create a calf record in the program.
You will need to know the full ear tag of the calf for this step.
The program will ask for:
- Sex of the calf
- Whether the calf is remaining within the herd (usually select [Yes] unless the calf is stillborn, then select [Died])
- Breed
- Full ear tag
- Line number (this will automatically default to the last 4 digits of the ear tag unless changed)
- Name (if applicable)
- Hair colour
- Additional comments
Once completed, you will see a green tick on the second line, indicating that the information has been saved. (This is the same throughout data entry.)
Freshly calved cows that have not yet been served again will appear on your dashboard under the blue tile marked Open.
